Comtua Honours VP Osinbajo, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Shippers’ Boss, Hajia Bola Muse, 23 others

The Council of Maritime Truck Union and Association, Comtua recently honoured Vice President Yemi Osibajo at it’s 2022 Annual Congress which took place in Làgos. At the event, prominent diginitaries were also specially recognised.
The president of the Association Comrade Adeyinka Aroyewun in his opening speech congratulated the newly elected Board of Trustees Members and Awardee. He said since the emergence of the national convention of the association on 25th November 2021 things has not been a bed of roses because they have faced a lot of challenges from hoodlums as well as extortions and electronic call up systems.
Comtua boss said initially the association and it’s members left various committee because things were not working according to plan. He said but with time things came back to normal. He said there a lot of commitments from Hon. Jime Emmanuel, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council. “Today we’re on track, I believe the importance of this collaboration is to achieve the best result by discongestion of traffic grid-lock in port access road.

In his Keynote speaker of the Annual Congress an Acedemia from Lagos State University Prof. S. G Odewunmi identified various challenges affecting the free flow of traffic in the nation’s commercial city.

The Keynote speaker suggested that both the Federal and State Ministry of Transport should take critical and holistic approach to appoint professionals in the Transport Ministries.

Speaking further the representative of Nigerian Shippers’ Council National Coordinator of PSTT, Mr. Moses Fadipe welcomed Comtua back into committee for a smooth relationship and engagement for greater achievements. He emphasised that the rules of the committee remain unchanged as he insisted that any member who refused to abide or comply with the rules have his or own free will.
The Comtua Annual Congress 2022 also honoured Babajide Sanwo-Olu Executive Governor of Lagos Stste as Comtua’s Governor of The Year, AUG Adeyemi Adeleke Asst. Inspector Gen. of Police Zone 2, Zonal Headquarters Lagos. as Comtua’s Grand Commander,
